Handmade in Japan, the traditional home of Japanese sword smiths. Blade pattern consists of 32 individual layers of high carbon V-gold no. 10 stainless steel which is hardened to rockwell 62-63 degC, giving a sharper, longer lasting cutting edge.

The handles are made of black laminated Pakka wood with bolsters and bottom cap in stainless steel, and are ergonomically shaped to fit comfortably in the hand. These features combine to make Shun the most exciting range of knives available.
